1 ordinary thyristor
Ordinary thyristors are widely used in low-frequency information management fields such as AC/DC speed regulation, dimming, and temperature control. Two way thyristor
Three terminal bidirectional thyristors can be regarded as an integration of a pair of anti parallel thyristors commonly used in AC voltage regulators and power regulation circuits. Positive and negative pulse triggers can be turned on, making the control circuit relatively simple. The disadvantage is poor commutation and low triggering sensitivity.
3. Light controlled thyristor
Light controlled thyristor is a device that controls the thyristor to trigger conduction through optical signals. It has a strong anti-interference technology innovation ability and continuously develops problems to improve students' ability to provide good insulation material performance for high-voltage equipment and withstand high instantaneous overvoltage in social work and learning. Therefore, it is applied in education research, high-voltage direct current transmission, static reactive power data for economic compensation, and other fields.
4 Inverted thyristor
Due to its short shutdown time (10-15 seconds), it is mainly used for medium frequency induction heating. In the inverter circuit, it has given way to new devices such as GTR, GTO, IGBT, etc.
5 Asymmetric thyristors
Asymmetric thyristor is a type of thyristor with asymmetric forward and reverse resistance. Reverse conducting thyristor is a special case of asymmetric thyristor, which is a power integrated device composed of same core diodes. Compared with ordinary thyristor modules, thyristor modules have the advantages of short turn off time, small forward voltage drop, high rated junction temperature, and good high-temperature characteristics.
